Hand made from salvaged wine barrel staves
These unique, individually hand-crafted wine barrel bench seats are made from the staves of French, German and American oak barrels, and Australian hardwoods. The timber is hand worked using traditional tools, and smoothed for comfort. The joints are checked in and wooden dowelled. (No metal screws or bolts). Organic oils are applied to preserve the wood and bring out the beautiful grain features and preserve the natural colours of the wine-stained timber.
These seats are more than just furniture. They are a testament to craftsmanship and sustainability. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to honour the integrity of the timber, transforming reclaimed materials into something both practical and beautiful. The natural curves of the barrel staves, shaped by years of ageing wine, give every seat a distinct character, while the hand-finished surfaces ensure both durability and comfort. No two seats are the same. Barrel stave sizes vary in length and width. The seats are approximately 460 mm high at the centre, about 900mm long and 45omm wide. Dimensions can be altered slightly to your specification
